ResMed AirSense 10 setup and care
Practical guidance for setup, humidification, cleaning and compatible AirSense 10 supplies.
Clinical note: Pressure, EPR, ramp and therapy mode should follow your prescription or clinician’s instructions. Do not change clinical settings based only on general website information.
Setup checklist
- Place the machine on a stable, level surface below or level with the top of the mattress, with the air inlet unobstructed.
- Insert the clean water chamber correctly. Use the water type and fill level recommended in the current user guide.
- Connect either SlimLine tubing or the AirSense 10-compatible ClimateLineAir heated tube.
- Connect the mask, power on the device and confirm the prescribed therapy settings.
- Run mask fit and adjust the mask while lying in your normal sleeping position.
Humidity and rainout
Humidity comfort depends on room temperature, tube type and personal response. If water collects in the tube or mask, keep the machine below head level, avoid overfilling the chamber and consider a compatible heated tube. Make gradual comfort changes only within the settings your clinician has allowed.
Cleaning and replacement
- Empty and air-dry the water chamber daily; clean it using the method in the current user guide.
- Clean mask parts according to the mask manufacturer’s instructions.
- Wash reusable tubing regularly and allow it to dry fully before reconnecting.
- Inspect the disposable inlet filter and replace it when dirty, damaged or at the interval in the user guide. Do not wash a disposable filter.
- AirSense 10 and AirSense 11 filters, heated tubes and water chambers are not all interchangeable. Confirm the generation before ordering.
