Löwenstein CARA Nasal CPAP Mask

Löwenstein CARA Nasal — complete nasal mask set. CARA is Löwenstein Medical's lightweight nasal mask, designed to pair with the prisma range of CPAP and bilevel devices but built on a standard tube connection that works with other machines too. A soft silicone cushion seals around the nose, the exhalation vent stays quiet at therapy pressure, and the swivel elbow lets the tube follow you when you turn. The headgear uses simple clips and contains no magnets. It suits nasal breathers who want a light, simple mask with straightforward strap adjustment.

What is included?

• Elbow with swivel for connection to standard CPAP tubing.

A CPAP machine and main breathing tube are not included.

Choose the correct size before ordering

CARA cushions come in two overlapping sizes: S/M for smaller and narrower noses and M/L for medium to larger noses. If your current nasal mask is a Medium in another brand, either size may fit; message us with your current mask and size and we will help you choose. A cushion that seals only when the straps are tight is the wrong size.

Machine compatibility

Works with the Löwenstein prisma SMART, prisma 20A and prisma bilevel devices, and with ResMed, Resvent and other CPAP or bilevel machines that use standard tubing. It does not connect to the ResMed AirMini, which uses proprietary mask setup packs. Select the nasal mask setting on your device if it has one.

Care and fitting

Follow the Löwenstein user guide supplied with the mask. Wash the cushion daily and the frame, elbow and headgear weekly in warm water with mild soap, rinse well and air-dry away from direct sunlight. Keep the vent holes clear and never block them. Do not overtighten the straps to stop a leak. Replace the cushion when it softens, discolours or no longer seals.
